A cocktail of opinions..

I like.

Although I havent written many poems in my blog.. there is this one poem that I like more than any other. I wrote it 4 yrs ago. It puts things into perspective for me.

The Elixir Of Life

I entered the space,
the space between my thoughts,
the silent empty space
trying to bridge the gap,
between the known
and the illusion.
It was like finding the space
between the notes
which make the music.
It was a region unexplored,
a region so peaceful
and so incomprehensible.
A region.
A truth.
An unordinary truth.
A region rusted
by a metastable exterior.
It took me beyond my "self",
beyond my place,
beyond this world,
beyond this fleeting existence.
It was an esoteric,
yet a memorable experience.
It inured me,
yet mellowed me down.
It was divine.
It was eternal.
That elusive transitory moment,
was like the elixir of life.

Very, very nice. :)

I used to write poetry when I was in high school. It's been a really long time since I attempted a poem now.

sindhu: thanks. writing a poem is just like expressing something the way i feel. if i *try* to write one, i end up writing something ordinary.

keshariya: thanks. are you making fun of me? :p
